HRH The Princess Royal visits Formby & Southport RDA

Many Congratulations to Formby & Southport RDA, and Bowlers Riding School, who were honoured to have a visit on, 17 September 2021, from Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, who is president of RDA.

Princess Anne toured the riding school meeting staff, volunteers and disabled riders then observed three riding demonstrations by Formby & Southport RDA. A beautiful picture was presented to Mary Bowler and a plaque unveiled to commemorate 80 years as a riding school and 52 years as an RDA group. Such an amazing achievement!

Well-deserved long service awards were presented to:

Five ponies got long service medals.

The RDA NW Region’s Chair (Gill Petty) and Vice Chair (Jennifer Hoggarth) had a fabulous afternoon enjoying this very memorable occasion for Formby & Southport RDA. Well done everyone!
