RDA North West Regional Conference and Awards Day

Cost: £10 per person including picnic lunch and refreshments.

  • Charlotte Wittbom on "Groundwork for All".

The cost is £5 towards Crosby RDA payable in cash on the day.

12 noon Theory Session prompt start

1.30 lunch please bring your own- 30 mins

2pm Practical Session - 4 horses

Do you have any volunteers who have completed their Volunteer modules and are waiting to take their Pre- Coach Training? 

 

The region is holding Zoom courses to enable volunteers to continue on the Coaching Pathway as Trainee Coaches.   We currently have a course starting via Zoom on Monday 23rd January 6.30pm - 8.30pm and Monday 30th January 6.30pm - 8.30pm. 

 

BOTH sessions need to be attended.

SHOWJUMPING - PLEASE NOTE THAT RIDERS WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO ENTER THE LEVEL WHICH THEIR COACH IS TRAINED UP TO (THIS IS AN RDA RULING).

Volunteer Training Day

VOLUNTEER TRAINING FOR RDA GROUPS 

- "HOW TO BE A GOOD VOLUNTEER"

 

At: Seaside Venture Group RDA, Wrea Green Equitation Centre, Bryning Lane, Wrea Green, Preston PR4 3PP

On: Friday 22 April 2022 11am to 2pm

 

The course is being arranged by Seaside Venture RDA and lead by Lizzie Hill who runs accessibility and training programmes for volunteers.  It is a practical course including both theory, and practical stable yard aspects, and basic work in those areas.  It is an Accessibility Mark training day (covers RDA groups).

There are to be only 12 people on the course - so they can only accommodate  a maximum of 1 person per RDA group. Cost: £25 per person (tea, coffee and biscuits available).

Showjumping Training Day

on Wednesday 13th April 2022 starting at 10.00 a.m. all day

To be taken by National Showjumping Lead, Mike Butcher Fellow of RDA

​

Everyone welcome from existing Showjumping RDA Groups or those interested in adding this discipline to their activities or those just wanting to find out more.

Open to all Coaches, Group Coaches and those interested in being able to become RDA Showjumping Judges as well as Volunteers. There will be a chance for assessment on the day. 

​

Riders currently taking part in Showjumping are welcome to come along to find out what is expected by the Judges

First Aid Course

Equine specific First Aid course by Medi K

 

9am-5pm Saturday 15th May

 at Beechley Stables, Harthill Road, Liverpool L18 3HU

 

£60 per person      12 places available

 

The course will take place in a socially distanced manner, in the covered arena (roof but no sides).  You will be "outside" all day, so please dress warmly and bring a blanket.  Hot water will be provided for drinks, but please bring your own cup and food.  To book e-mail: rdanwevents@gmail.com
