We're voting for Sophie Christiansen for SPOTY 2016

Paralympian Sophie Christiansen, who started riding at Warfield RDA and then at South Bucks, has been nominated for the BBC's Sports personality of the Year 2016. Sophie is an incredible ambassador for RDA, who never misses an opportunity to tell the world how much RDA means to her, and she is an inspiration to riders everywhere. We would like to show our appreciation for what she has achieved, and for everything she does to raise the profile of RDA, by encouraging as many people as possible to vote for her as Sports Personality of the Year 2016. When is SPOTY 2016? Saturday 18 December, 18:40 - 21:00, BBC One How to vote by phone: The vote opens during the live programme and the presenters will tell you when the lines are open and the number to call for Sophie. Voting online: You have to register first. Go online here and follow the link: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/sports-personality/38135745 You might want to do this ahead of time. When the presenters tell you voting is open, go online and vote here: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/sports-personality Still need convincing? Here's what Sophie says:

"I know that many people won't know who I am because I compete in a minority sport. That is why I need your help not to come last! I want to be voted for by the people because I stand for more than just an athlete.

So please vote for me if you: have ever overcome a challenge; believe in the benefits of sport; studied maths; have a disability but never let that stop you; work in an office; love riding and horses; went to university; always strive for better; go to festivals and gigs; are a computer geek and proud of it; fight for things you believe in or just like to support the underdog!"
